M. Grorud
This workshop is an opportunity to engage in an extended discussion with Pr.
Grorud about his keynote presentation, “Wresting the Wheel from God: Theological
Roots of the Current Crisis in Christianity.” Pr. Grorud is a pastor at Faith
Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minn., and previously served at Gloria Dei
Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, Minn. He is a graduate of Dana College in
Blair, Neb. and Lutheran Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. He
is a member of the Board of Directors of the WordAlone Network and has served on
the Steering Committee of Lutheran CORE since its inception.

offer an opportunity to hear about recent developments at ReClaim Resources for
worship, ask questions, receive and examine a copy of our new brochure, and
learn ways you can give your needed support to this expanding ministry.
New Resources from Sola Publishing - 4:45 p.m. on Monday only
Leader: Pastor Steven King, Education Director for WordAlone
Pr. King will give an introduction to Sola Publishing, WordAlone’s new education
ministry. He will give an overview of the resources available through Sola,
which include: Adult Bible Studies, Women’s Group Studies, and a Children’s
Curriculum on the Small Catechism. He will also talk about Sola’s new
downloadable brochure series “What Does This Mean?” now available online. Those
who come to this workshop will receive a free color ‘Small Cat’ Poster on the
Books of the Bible.
Presenting The Institute of Lutheran Theology

The Institute of Lutheran Theology is proud to present its two schools of
education: The ILT Academy and The ILT Graduate School. This workshop will focus
on The ILT Academy and our new offering, The Rapid Pastoral Certification
Program (RPC). THE RPC program is a two-year, online program designed for the
educational preparation of laity who find the Spirit moving them toward greater
pastoral involvement within their congregations.
The Alphabet Soup of Reform Groups in the ELCA
Pastor Mark Chavez, Vice President, WordAlone Network and Director,
Lutheran CORE
The alphabet soup of reforming and confessing movements in the
ELCA can be very confusing. Get an overview of the renewing, reforming and
confessing movements in the ELCA and learn about WordAlone’s and Lutheran CORE’S
(the coalition for reform) roles in the soup. Plans for synod assemblies, the
2009 churchwide assembly and beyond will be covered. Information about the
efforts of parallel groups in other Protestant denominations will be shared.
