Keynote Presenters
The Right Reverend C. FitzSimons Allison
Bp. Allison is the retired Episcopal bishop of the Diocese of South Carolina. He is a graduate of University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn., Virginia Theological Seminary and Oxford University (Christ Church), England. He has been a professor at University of the South, Virginia Theological Seminary, Catholic University, Washington, D.C., St. Mary’s University, Baltimore, and the General Theological Seminary, New York. He has served parishes in Columbia, SC and New York City, and as the American Canon at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Aberdeen, Scotland. He is the author of Fear, Love and Worship; Guilt, Anger, and God; The Rise of Moralism; and The Cruelty of Heresy: An Affirmation of Christian Orthodoxy and several published essays and articles. He and his wife, Martha Allston Parker, have four children and ten grandchildren.
The Reverend Scott M. Grorud
Pr.
Grorud is a pastor at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minn., and previously
served at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, Minn. He is a graduate of
Dana College in Blair, Neb. and Lutheran Northwestern Theological Seminary in
St. Paul, Minn. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the WordAlone
Network and has served on the Steering Committee of Lutheran CORE since its
inception. He and his wife, Shelly, have two children, Kirsten and Andrew.
