James Kallas and Gary Jepsen will be the keynote speakers at this year's WordAlone Network Annual Convention at Calvary Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn., on April 13-14. The theme for the convention is Defending the Faith. Dr. Kallas will give his presentation on Sunday evening and Pr. Jepsen will give his on Monday morning.
A variety of workshops will be offered including ones led by Pr. Jepsen, the Institute of Lutheran Theology, the ReClaim Hymnal team and FaithSearch International. There will also be many displays of ministries that uphold the authority of God's Word and are focused on making disciples of Jesus Christ, including WA's newest venture, Sola Publishing.
The annual gatherings of Lutheran CORE, the coalition for reform, and LC3, Lutheran Churches of the Common Confession, will be held on Monday afternoon, Apr. 14, in conjunction with the WA convention.
In an effort to better accommodate work schedules, the convention will begin on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., earlier than it has in the past, and conclude on Monday at 5:30 p.m., also earlier than in the past.
